With a classical and modern dance background, Back to Mars is one of the few female djs making her way in the dance music scene. Playing since 2001, Mars' music style is a blend of warm progressive and twisted fast psychedelic trance, every now and again traveling into other musical spectrums like deep house. Her mixing is intelligent and uplifting, and she brilliantly surprises the crowd with her unique style. Back to Mars represents the dutch label Mind Funk Records, now back on track with fresh new releases.

Currently creating her space internationally, she had the pleasure of playing the first DJ set at the main floor of the Boom Festival 2008. The energy was very high and she took the public up on a crescendo, where many styles of Psychedelic Trance were explored. It was said that her "music was really groovy and sticking people to the ground physically and mentally..."

Another side of Back to Mars is writing and she wrote the article about The Netherlands (Holland) for The Trancer's Guide to the Galaxy 2008, which was a last minute arrangement that ensured the participation of The Netherlands in the guide. And in 2009, she once again joined the team to write the article about The Netherlands for the version of this magazine now called Psychedelic Traveller. Back To Mars has been experimenting with producing music and completed the audio production course at the SAE in Amsterdam on the spring 2009. Still learning and gearing up but already her first release came out digitally on Trackitdown: "Such Terrible Beauty" by Policuska - Back To Mars remix.
