Musician since early-age, developed his path as an acoustic, electric, electronic multi-instrumentist from piano to guitars, bass, synths, flutes, percussion, turntables, samplers, then microchips and pixels.

In 1998 at the age of 19 was one of the first Psy Chillout/Alternative Ambient DJs in Brazil. In 1999 was one of the cofounders of "Universo Paralello Festival" (www.universoparalello.art.br/) and of IDCH (www.idch.art.br/), projects that still grow and evolve until the present day after 10 years of existence. In 2004 got a degree after 4 years of study on music production and technology.

Performed DJ sets in Portugal (Boom Festival, S.M. do Porto and Lisbon), Spain (Ibiza), UK (London/Camden), other outdoor festivals in England and many others in Brazil, Including Trancendence 1&2, Universo Paralello, Earth Dance, Ypy Poty and many others. Nowadays he also includes in his VDJ full performances a "touch-screen interactive audio-visual sampler application" he created, designed, programmed, coded, and develops.

“DreamLoading” is the name of Rafael´s interactive art installations project that was first developed in 2006 for Boom Festival (PT), then in London (UK), Almeria (ES), Devon (UK), and also São Paulo/Rio de Janeiro/Porto Alegre (BR) for F.I.L.E. (Internacional Festival of Eletronic Language), and at Universo Paralello Festivals (BR). It consists of immersive environments where people can interact with sounds and projections through different interfaces, like for example through touch-screen, midi sensors, joysticks, microphone sound input, electric impulse sensors and camera motion capture.

In 2007 moved on developing his VJ performances, skills and knowledge, playing images like an instrumentist in digital-analog hand synch and midi triggers. Like that he met TajMahal, manager of Electrik Dream Label, when they made a DJ/VJ gig together in the south of Spain, where they matched a fine audiovisual interaction and synchronicity.

From that on is part of the Electrick Dream crew, and performed VJ sets with artists like Dickster, Hamish, S-Range, Rica Amaral, Logica, DxtrLab, Pedra Branca, Tegma, and many others in places like Germany (Dusseldorf), UK (Devon), Brazil (São Paulo - as Resident of Siona@ClashClub, Recife and Universo Paralello/Bahia.)

Has been developing this audio-visual synch performances and improvisation, sampling and scratching images and sounds together with the use of software and interface controllers. In 2008 his prior study and work resulted in full AVJ (DVJ? VDJ?) sets, without the use of a DVDj hardware. He started the progressive eletronic music and visuals project-laboratory “EletrikNoize” in São Paulo in 2008 every saturday at “Sarajevo Club”, AVJing solo and with guests, and also made presentations in some alternative arts exhibition mixing video clips and independent documentaries, music and audiovisual samples in general.

Based nowadays in Natal (NE Brazil), he plays and co-produces the monthly project CINEMALIVE of world and gipsy chill beats with brazilian psychedelic and jazzygroovy flavor, remxing live visual arts, colorful images from not only brazilian, but world roots culture, tradicional dances, urban and digital design, poets and musicians in audiovisual samples.and movies. Also plays and co-produces DreamLab, an AudioVisual Multi-Cultural Lounge Party. According to his words: “..sound, dance, music, photo, digital animation and video-art production, along with interactivity, human interaction and cyberarts are some of the unlimited paths of information exchange the Universe gives us to evolve..and together they go a long way! Let´s be what comes next…”
