Both Daniel Rosado and Henrique Palhavã were born in the 70`s in Portugal and since an early age kept a close connection with the music world. Their influences aren't just music but also the way they live - in a continuous quest to keep a balance with nature and mankind. Musically and without mention any names and styles, both love projects with great sound quality and with original construction. Henrique bring a jazzy touch in their music.

Daniel is a famous sound engineer that worked in a Lisbon studio for National Geographic documentaries and started producing electronic music in the late 90's. Henrique, a zoologist, lives and works in his own farm and started as an ambient dj and producer in 2001. They got together in 2003 and decided to meld their musical preferences and create Zen Baboon. After 6 years, the project is an example of what you can do working in a minimal way to reach a higher quality of sound composition.

With two tracks on Ambient Planet Vol 2, they are now working on some new releases and remixes for other compilations and their first Zen Baboon album to be released on Electrik Dream in 2010. They have played in major parties and festivals like Boom and Synergy. Their soundscapes are often considered avant-garde, but when you love producing as much as they do, you can't help but push to find the next great sound. This keeps the continuous learning process awake and ever evolvoing, just like their music.

Henrique & Daniel are also developing a project called Zen Racoon of more Minimal, Progressive Beat Music at 125bpm.
