with Music by: ![]() Ticon (Digital Structures - Sweden) grooves come from Filip Mårdberg and Fredrik Gilenholt. The story of their musical involvement dates back to 1991 when they found mutual interest for underground dance music. Around 1995, the new moniker Tripticon was born. Then in 1997, through a local contact, they released an album on Stockholm based Tsunami records. After the release was a hard period for them musically as they were getting tired with Tripticon and there was no obvious path to take. It wasn’t until Malmoe based label Digital Structures contacted them in 1999 that things started to get clear. They went in for a studio session and out came the track ‘mona bone’, which today is a classic Ticon track but more important, they had found the path they were looking for. After successful releases like ‘ass-tronaut’, ‘monkey business’, ‘rattlesnake lollipop’, ‘lo mi hi’ and ‘input, output, kaput’ on lables like TIP World, Hadshot Haheizar, Transient rec, Dragonfly rec, Surround Sounds and of course Digital Structures, they earned a spot in the growing group of respected tranceproducers. Released in April 2001, their full length ‘rewind’ received rave reviews. In addition to Ticon there is a lot of other music made in the studio; with New Disco Science Alliance they try to bridge over to a clubbier style of tech house; with Qlap, which is a project with Son Kite, main idea is to fuse the two groups to get something new. Then there is also a downbeat project without a name so far (although 2 tracks have been released under the Ticon name) and at last a new experiment which in lack of other definition must be called a pop project with a songwriter and a vocalist. It's been a great journey from the first releases and landmark albums like "Rewind" and "Aero" to "Zero Six After" released in 2005. http://www.ticonmusic.com 2x4 by: ![]() Breaks to Tribal Progressive through Hard Techno and Psytrance Osiris Indriya (Iboga Records, Oracle Gatherings, IOSIS Art Party - SEA) is a legend of the West Coast Underground Dance scene. (People Undergoing Real Experiences). For two years the group performed only within the small community of body modification and suspension, keeping to nightclubs and private events. Over the course of three years several members of the group began to delve into more traditional Cirkus acts such as fire performance and juggling to expand and broaden its audience. In the summer of 2005, as they began combining both cirkus talents and body modification, the group realized that they had something far larger then they had ever imagined. On Oct 28th 2005, almost overnight, the group called P.U.R.E was transformed into Pure Cirkus and performed for the first time under their new name. By pulling together talented performers from all over the country they push the limits of the human mind and body by combining Cirkus performance with Tribal theatre. They have embraced all forms of entertainers such as jugglers, clowns, sideshow freaks, fire, suspension and piercing enthusiasts, dancers, acrobats, aerialists, musicians and other circus and cabaret artists that have come together to build what will be a lasting circus that will entertain people for generations. http://www.purecirkus.com/ Airbrushing by: ![]() Eric Nez (Seattle) The visionary mystic artist is merely a farmer of the soul, giving oneself healthy nutrients, environment, divine light and love, in order to grow ones fruit and share it with the universe.
